AED has been awarded the USAID-funded Malaria Action Program for States (MAPS) project designed to support the Nigeria National Malaria Strategic Plan and National MAlaria Control Program (NMCP). The project will increase the quality, access, and uptake of specific malaria control interventions, including insecticide-treated nets (ITNs), artemisinin-based combination therapies (ACTs), expanded use of rapid diagnostic tests (RDs), and delivery of intermittent preventive treatment (IPTp) to pregnant women.

Program Assistant
The Program Assistant will assist in procurement, administrative duties, and the logistical coordination of project activities.
Essential Job Functions
Organize and maintain consistent and transparent filing systems for various reports, correspondence, procurement, payroll, and personnel administration.
Oversee the procurement process for supplies, equipment, and services (obtain quotations, prepare purchase orders, complete payment requests if necessary, and prepare justifications of expenditures).
Manage official services, such as answering the phone; recording messages; take minutes of meetings; receive visitors; type, proof-read, review, correct, and print documents; and prepare fax and e-mail messages.
Manage petty cash.
Oversee travel logistics (including hotel reservations, booking airfare, and arranging local travel and transport) for staff, consultants, and visitors.
Arrange meeting and workshop logistics as necessary.
Organize and maintain a documentation center for MAPS Project documents.
Maintain communications and manage networking with partners and other organizations working in the field to share information as deemed appropriate.

Trouble shoot issues with equipment as necessary or communicate issues to IT/management.
Assist in the preparation of project reports, including annual and quarterly reports, memos to client and AED HQ, and other deliverables.

Provide assistance to internal and external project auditors in checking files and documentation.
Assist with the set-up and establishment of new office, procure furniture, equipment, and service contracts in accordance with USAID and AED rules and regulations.
Assist in the oversight and tracking of project inventory; ensure security protocols are observed.
Support the project in start-up and close-out activities.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Experience
Degree or diploma in Business Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or other relevant field.
Minimum of two years working in a similar capacity with an international or Nigerian NGO.
Experience using and troubleshooting office equipment, including fax machines, printers, scanners, and computers.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Specific Knowledge Requirements
Ability to work and manage assignment independently with limited supervision.

Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or West African College of Physicians or postgraduate degree in relevant disciplines with at least 15 years cognate experience. ACADEMIC PLANNING
38.) Director (CONTISS 15)
The Director of Academic Planning is a key officer in the affairs of the University.   The Director is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the duties of the office. The applicant must have a clear knowledge of the structure and the vision of the University. The Director also has the following specific responsibilities among others:
Prepare and review the University Academic brief as appropriate,
Determine the staff needs of Departmental/Units based on the directive of Council and making appropriate recommendations where necessary.
Coordinate activities involved in accreditation of Academic programmes and Departments in the University.
Make projections based on processed data on the staff/students population of the University.
Prepare and publish regularly, statistical data on the various Departments and Units of the University.
Monitor and evaluate Academic Programmes and Departments for appropriate academic development planning purposes.
Implement the quality assurance and improvement plans of the University.
Liaise with the Bursar in the preparation of Annual Recurrent Budget Estimates.
Qualification/Experience:
Applicants must possess a good honours degree from a recognized University in any of the following fields: Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Educational Management with bias in Mathematics/Statistics/Economics.
A doctorate degree would be an added advantage. Applicants must be computer literate.
The Applicant is required to have a minimum of 1 5 years cognate experience in the planning unit of a recognized university not less than 5 years of which must have been spent in top management position in the planning unit
Conditions of service
Conditions of service are as applicable to similar positions in all Nigerian public universities and as may be approved from time to time by the Governing Council of the University. The appointment shall be till retiring age.

He or she must have acquired a minimum of nine (9) years post qualification experience, four (4) of which should be in the University system.
The candidate must have clean and impeccable records of service and demonstrate evidence of professional competence with high degree of accountability, transparency and priobity. Applicants should be highly computer literate and be conversant with the application of ICT-based accounting packages.

Candidates must also show evidence of considerable scholarship and thorough understanding of the application of new technologies to library operations and services.
Computer literacy and application of ICT in library services is an essential requirement.
